First Day of Preschool

So... we had a great summer, and there are 6 "drafts" of blog posts just waiting to show you all the fun we had! If you know me and my track record with this blog, you won't hold your breath waiting for them :) It's ok, I have come to accept that I will never be as consistent at blogging as some people are.

However, this week my sweet baby girl started preschool, so I HAD to share some pictures.

All smiles before we left home. And for the record, I was blown away by the fact that my child was simultaneously smiling, standing still, AND looking at the camera. A RARE occurrence!

She didn't cry the first day. At least we didn't see it. We put her down, she ran to the toys, and we took off. It may be mean, but I knew I wouldn't be able to leave if she started crying. Wednesday (her 2nd day) was a different story. She knew what was about to happen and hung on for dear life when I tried to put her down. I tried to get her involved in playing, but finally had to hand her off to her sweet teacher. I cried all the way to CBS. I know it will get better, it's just not easy. However, on Friday (a non-school day for us), she said "Own go skoo. Own see Ms. Katie." I'm praying she still feels that way Monday morning :)
