She's Here! The Birth of Blakely Ann Parrish

Well folks, she has arrived. Blakely Ann Parrish was born at 6:50 PM on Sunday, October 12th. She weighed 8lbs and 14 ounces and has a head full of black hair. She has to be the most precious thing you have ever seen. Deena is doing good and very proud to be a momma. I am already completely wrapped around her finger. God has graced us with this most precious gift and we are so blessed to have this special treasure. A good friend told me this week that any time a baby is born it's a miracle from God and Blakely truly is a miracle. The jury is still out on who she looks like. Blakely's Room

Three days until Blakely's due date and her room is mostly complete. We might be the only parents whose nursery is not completely finished before the baby arrives, but we figure she won't complain too much :)! Here are some pictures of her room. We are still waiting on her chair to arrive. For those of you who haven't heard the chair story, it's kind of long...Basically, when her chair was being delivered, the wind blew it off of a truck and into the middle of a busy road. We had to order another one, and are still waiting on it to come in. So imagine a really cute pink chair in the corner by the Bible verse my talented sister painted!

Our First Blog

Greetings to All,

This is the first blog from the Parrish Family. Currently there are 2 of us but soon there will be 3. Our daughter Blakely should be here shortly and her mother and I are pumped! We felt that this is the best way to keep you all updated on what is happening in our lives. Soon to follow will be more updates regarding Blakely's arrival accompanied by photos, videos and other tidbits to share. Check back soon for frequent updates. War Eagle!
